Ah, the sweet embrace of nostalgia!
My story is like a heart-warming retro game plot twist.
So, let’s rewind to the pixelated past: My former co-worker, in a moment of button-mashing folly, parted ways with their cherished childhood game. Perhaps they traded it for a power-up or a virtual extra life—because, hey, who wouldn’t want an extra life, right?
But fear not! I swooped in like a hero on a quest, snatching up that game cartridge like it was the last golden coin in the Mushroom Kingdom. And now, fast-forward a couple of levels (or years), and my co-worker emerges from the warp pipe of time, seeking redemption.
They offer me another copy of the same game—a sequel, if you will. But wait, there’s a bonus level: a pristine Game Boy Color box! It’s like finding a hidden treasure chest in the desert level—unexpected, but oh-so-rewarding.
Sure, this trade might cost me a few more coins in the long run, but the real magic lies in the reunion. I’m like Mario and Luigi, reuniting lost Yoshis with their eggs. And as I add that Game Boy Color box to my collection, it’s like levelling up in the game of life.
