The Meta Quest 3S is Meta’s latest virtual reality headset, offering a compelling blend of performance and affordability. It boasts a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 processor, the same chip found in the higher-end Quest 3, providing a significant performance leap over the Quest 2. The Quest 3S also features 8GB of RAM, further enhancing its ability to handle demanding VR applications.  

One of the key upgrades in the Quest 3S is its improved display resolution, offering 1832 x 1920 pixels per eye, a noticeable jump from the Quest 2. This results in sharper visuals and a more immersive experience. While it uses Fresnel lenses instead of the pancake lenses found in the Quest 3, it still delivers a high-quality visual experience. Additionally, the Quest 3S includes full-colour passthrough cameras, enabling mixed reality experiences that blend the real world with virtual elements. This allows for innovative gameplay and applications that were not possible with the Quest 2’s black and white passthrough.
